Life is a difficult dream – 2023 The “Park Nostalgiczny” is located where a pre-war cemetery was devastated for several decades. It was created on the preserved part of a former urn cemetery, where the last burials took place in the 1940s. After the Second World War, the cemetery gradually fell into disrepair. The gravestones were destroyed and the urns dug out of the ground. Hidden and broken stones with faded inscriptions in German and Polish can still be found today. The restoration of the cemetery by Witold Paket Burkiewicz has given the intertwined history of the two nations a place of remembrance.

This project is featured in the publication DANZIGDAŃSK.

The project was exhibited in the group show DANZIGDAŃSK, 2024, at MS Dauerwelle, Bremen.
